Elian Terner

Elian Terner is the Managing Director and  Head of Global Mining & Metals  Investment Banking group at National Bank of Canada. Elian leads a team that focuses on the Mining sector covering base, bulk and precious metal companies. 

Prior to joining National Bank, Elian spent 20+ years at Scotiabank where he held the same role, gaining extensive experience in all facets of public and private equity capital underwriting, as well as mergers and acquisitions advisory work.

Early in his career, Elian practiced law with a major law firm in New York City, where he specialized in structured finance securities offerings in the U.S. and abroad. Elian received his Bachelor of Commerce (Distinction) from the University of Toronto, and his Bachelor of Laws degree from Osgoode Hall Law School of York University.
